>Sufism: The Science of Oneness

>

Sufism, like Mysticism in Christianity, or Kabala in Judaism, handles the realm of presence with the Divine within the constructs of Islam. Sufism also means “Shift”, the shift from the current state one is in, the imprisonment within form, or identification with the sensory, to identification with being. To free oneself from the notion that one is physical, and to shift to the reality that one is no-thing. Simply a manifestation of Divine decree, “kun fa yakoon”, meaning a manifestation of Divine Will, Power, and Knowledge. Everything other than God is creation, and creation is temporal, it’s always passing, always fleeting, with no grounded being or existence. “God is the Light of the Heavens and the Earth.” as revelation states. The Heaven and Earth is manifest through this Light. Without this Light there is darkness or nonexistence. This Light is the background where Things: Objects, thoughts, and emotions are manifest. If this Light were not, these things are not. This is why the foundation of Islam, or the decree of faith is in essence two fold: Negation, and Affirmation. “La ilaha illa Allah.” La ilaha = Negation, Illa Allah = Affirmation. Nothing “Is” but “Allah”, and through this light of God -> “Mohammad Rasool Allah”, the Shari’a or path to the light of the Divine is in the form of the “Seal of Prophets.” One has to first have the perspicacity to see that everything other than God is passing, and perishing, and only through the Light of Divine essence, attributes, and acts is the “other”, the “forms” manifested. Everything is through the Divine. Everything subsists through the Lord. He is the Real, the Truth, and the Prophet is the Way. When the Light of Oneness intensifies one first undergoes a state of annihilation and Union with the Divine takes place, where all else including one’s self is gone, and Love is born. In reality, all samples of Love is simply God’s love for Himself, because there is none other than Him to Love and be Loved. The second shift comes along when all forms are there, but are merely pointers or signs that point to the Truth, God in His essence. A window to the Divine is created when space is created between the form and the formless within you. An access to divine presence lies within each and every one of us. Our souls are window’s to Divine presence because our souls are timeless, a gift from God, a breath of Divine essence.
